Total, £413 17s 6d. LAND SALE. Mehsbs H. Matson and Co. hold a sale of land at their auction rooms, Cashel street, on Saturday last, at which there was a very crowded attendance. The attraction appeared to be centred in the bnildir.g sections about to bo offered in Going’s road, Sydenham. The auctioneer (Mr Walton) made a short but telling speech to the nndionco, and commenced the sale. Tho competition was very active, and the prices realised uncommonly good. Tho first lots offered were No. 2 to 10 on Going’s road, containing about 10 porches each, and realised as follows:—No. 2, £96; No. 3, £74; No. 4,

£62; No 5, £6l ; No. 6. £6l ; No. 7, £62; No. 8. £57 ; No 9, £56; No. 10, £55 ; No. 11, £55 ; No. 1., £55; No. 13, £77; Nos. 14, 15, and 16, containing 9 perches each, realised £69, £69, and £63. Nos. 17 and 18, containing about 15 porches each, realised £63 each. Nos. 19 and 20, containing about 9 perches oach, realised £3B and £39.
