Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Co._ The brigantine Sea Bird arrived yesterday from Pelorus Sound. Tho as. Beautiful Star sailed for West Coast porta yesterday. The s.s. Jane Douglas arrived from Wellington and Kaikoura at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, and left on her return trip last night. The s.B. Hawea arrived from Wellington and Nelson yesterday morning, and left for Akaroa and Port Chalmers at 12.40 p.m. The Otaki and Pleiades finished loading yesterday. The Pleiades will tow out into the stream this morning, and from there to sea tomorrow morning. The Otaki will be towed to sea at mid-day to-morrow. Captain MoLellan, the harbormaster, went down to the Long Look-out in the p.a. Lyttelton yesterday, in order to get the bearings of the rook on which the brig Clematis struck. The brig's foremast had gone, as well as her maintopmaat. Her cargo was coming up in quantities, the palings being thickly scattered over the surface of tho water. The ship Lady Captain Jenkins, arrived from Auckland yeßterday, having left there on February 15th, and met with variablo weather down the coast. She was towed into a berth at the No. 3 Wharf, to load for London, and, as all her cargo is to hand, it is expected that she will be loaded in three weeks. Mr Bowman is chief officer, Mr Boaz second, and Mr Taylor third, Mr Moat still filling the office of chief steward.
