Mr Augustus Sola writes the introduction to a now annual, “ The Showman’s Panorama,” by Oodlin and Short, the pseudonyms of Mr John Latoy, jun., and Mr Wallis Mackay. Lord Biaoonsfitld has received from Prance more han one hundred and thirty letters containing proposals to translate into French his now novel “ Endymion.” It is not stated whether any choice was made by the noble Lord among this mass of offers. Mr Arthur Sketohley has arrived in India from Australia, and intends giving some public readings in Bombay. A young man married a deaf and dnmb girl, bnt soon afterwards she recovered both speech and hearing, and ho has applied for a divorce. Ho says it is an outrageous swindle.
