MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19. Por Northern ports and West Coast Sonnds, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. Guard’s van most not be used for this mail. MONDAY. FEBRUARY 21. For Kaikoura, per Tni, at 3.30 p.m.; lata fee letters, at 33> p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23. For Sonth Africa, per Robin Hood (for specially addressed correspondence only); at 9.30 a m.; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 10.10 a.m. train. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c.. per Wanaka, as follows; — Ordinary letters at 6.50 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 pm. ; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m ; guard’s van, 830 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on April 12th. Note.—The day of the Port Levy mail service ia altered from Friday to Tuesday of each week. SYDNEY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
