MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16. For Australian Colonies, per express train, to connect with Ringarooma at Bluff at 7 p m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the express train. THURSDAY. FEBRUARY 17. For Akaroa and Otago per Penguin at 9 30 am.; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 10 10 a.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters at 2 p.m.: guard’s van, 2.30 pm. train. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Ac., per Wanaka. The s.s. Stella will leave the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about the middle of February. Note. —The day of the Fort Levy mail service is altered from Friday to Tuesday of each week. SYDNEY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster
