At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Thursday, February 10th, sales were made as follows : Ordinary: Ashley, 3a 3r; Selwyn, 16p ; Ashburton, 23ia lr 31p; Geraldine, 7a 3r lip. Village Settlements, deferred payments: 2a. Total acreage sold, 246 a Or 28p. Total value, £503 4s 6d. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £426 10s 9d. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, February 11. Tho Auckland millers decline to purchase any wheat until it has been stacked several weeks, to allow sufficient seasoning. They allege that for some years back they have bought too early, and a considerable quantity bciug damp, it has heated, tho result being loss to them. This year's crop has been excellent, and there are indications of an extended wheat acreage, specially in tho Waikato. Tt is not improbable that tho market will open at ss. SHARE MARKET. Mr E. J. T. ENGLISH GRAIN MARKET. Messrs Roysk, Stead and Co.'s weekly telegram from their broker is as follows: London, 10th February—Present price for New Zealand wheat at Mark Lane, per quarter of 43Gibs, ex granary, sacks extra, is 48s to 48s Gd for Jong berried, and 45a to 46s 6d for fair average quality. Present value, ex ship, is 43s to 44s per 4801bs sacks as wheat. Market declined slightly. New Zealand ordinary oats, 21s to 23b per 31Glbs, and 28a to 30s 6d per 3841bs for extra fine oats, ex granary, sacks extra. Now Zealand barley, 28s to 36a per quarter of 4001bs, packs extra.
