[eeutek’s telegrams,] MELBOURNE, February 12. Arrived—The Tararua, from the Bluff. Wreck. Telegrams are to hand announcing that the steamship Ridge Park, 1200 tons. Las been wrecked near Gabo Island, on the Now South Wales coast, while ou a voyage from Adelaide to Sydney. All lives have been saved. Sailed—Albion, for Bluff. SYDNEY, February 11. The MarketsNow Zealand wheat to-day is quoted at -Is 2d per bushel, and maize at 2s lOd per COlbs. The markets for brandy, kerosene, rice, sugar, tobacco and candles are unchanged. A HurricaneThe steamer Gunga has arrived from Levuka, and reports that a destructive
hurricane has occurred there. Two ateamers, the Rewa and Go-Ahead, which wore lying at anchor 5n the harbor, sunk at their moorings. The destruction was very great, bat the loss of life is not known, as the Gunga was unable to communicate with the shore before leaving, on account of heavy sea. ArsonA summons has been issued against Mr Beckett, charging him with setting fire to his warehouses in Barrack street last month. ADELAIDE, February 11. The Markets. Town flour, £lO 5s to £lO 10s; country brands, £9 ss; wheat, 4a 3d to 4s 4d, market quiet. Freights to the United Kingdom from Adelaide, 455; from out ports, 47s 6d.
