[Per B,s. Botomahana, at the Bluff.] LONDON, January 25. During the past few days the police at Chelsea and Windsor have received secret and apparently trustworthy information that Fenians were maturing plans of outrages at those two places. The constabulary therefore have been increased, and other precautionary measures are being taken by the authorities.

The Boor loaders have made overtures of peace, and several prominent Zulu chiefs join them, but none as yet have shown any symptoms of disaffection, and every precaution is being taken to prevent a rising in Zululand.

January 27. Severe shocks of earthquake have again been felt at Agram, the capital of Croatia in Austria,

Numerous meetings are being held throughout the United States for the purpose of expressing sympathy with the Irish Land League. Tbe meetings are attended for the most part by the Irish seetion of the population. Not muoh importance is attached to the movement.

January 29. It has been decided to introduce a clause into the Irish Coercion Bill making it retro*

This will enable the Government to arrest and imprison persons guilty of crimes committed prior to tho passing of the Act. _ nii Tho death is announced of Lieut.-Oolonel Lyster, of the Bengal Infantry, who is distinguished for services in the field dnrmg the Indian mutiny, and received tho decoration of tho Tiotoria Cross in 1858.
