MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subjeot to the necessary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, FEBBUABY 7. For Northern Ports, per Grafton, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. i'or Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m.; guard's Tan 4 p.m. train TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Xarope, Point de Galle, India, the East, China, Japan, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, and Otago, per Te Anau, as under—Money orders at 12.30 p.m. ; registered letters at 1 p.m. ; ordinary correspondence at 1.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 1.45 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 pm. train. The b.b. Stella will leave the Bluff for the West Coist Sounds about tho middle of Febrnary. Note.—After 4th instant the day of the Port Levy mail service will be altered from Friday to Tuesday of each week. SXJPNBY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
