[eeutee’s teeegea.ms.l LONDON, February 2. The Mail. The homeward Australian mail via Brindisi was delivered here to-day. February 3, The Irish Obstructionists. The debate on the Irish Coercion Bill was resumed in the House of Commons last evening. The Irish members again pursued the same course of obstruction, and much disorder prevailed. Finally Mr. Parnell and his adherents were, by the Speaker’s order, expelled from the House, and the discussion on the measure is now proceeding quietly. A great sensation has been caused, owing to the expulsion of the obstructors. Thomas CarlyleThomas Carlyle, the well-known author, is now alarmingly ill. The physicians hold out no hope of his recovery. The Money Market. Consols remain at The 4-J per cent. New Zealand loan is at 97, ex dividend. CONSTANTINOPLE, February 3. The Eastern Question. In reply to the representations made by the ambassadors of the Powers, the Porte has declined to state beforehand the maximum concessions which Turkey is prepared to make to Greece in Epirus and Thessaly, but is willing to negotiate in regard to the demands put forward by Greece.
