MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4. For Northern Forts and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipa, at 1.40 p.m.; lato fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 230 pm. train. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 pm. The guard’s van mnst not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, &e., per Te Anan. The s.s. Stella will leave the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about tho middle of February. Note.—After 4th instant the day of the Port Levy mail service will be altered from Friday to Tuesday of each week. dIfPNET J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
