MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under • TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1. For Northern Ports and Fiji Islands, per Penguin, at 7.30 pm. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2. For Australian Colonies (except Sydney and Brisbane), per express train, to connect with b.b. Tararua, at Bluff, at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van attached to the express train. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, For Aharoa and Otagc, per Hawea, at 9.30 a.m.; late fee letters, at 9.10 a.m.; guard’s van, 10-10 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Arawata, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, &0., per Te Anan. The b.b. Stella will leave the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about the middle of February. SYDNEY .T. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
