THE GRAIN RATES.

The " Gazette ” of January 27th contains ’the regulations and rates for the conveyance of agricultural produce which are fixed to tone into force on February 9th. The minimum quantity is two tons j any less quantity will be charged as such minimum or as class D, At ell stations except at Auckland, Onohunga, Spit, Wellington, FoXton, Wanganui, Waitara, Greymouth, Westport. "When so done, or when loaded into the ehed owing to trucks not being available after reasonable notice is given, the classified Tatee only will be charged. When loading or unloading is dona by the railway department at stations, fid per ton inaddi'iontothe classified rates will ba charged for each operation. At all private stores and sidings the loading •or unloading shall bo done by the owners. Class E, ox ship, will be charged as class D. The following are the classified rates for Claes E.
