MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Cbief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Rotorna, at 1.40 p m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Fiji Islands, per Penguin, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, &c, per Te Anau. The s.s. Stella will leave the Bluff for the West Coast Sounds about the middle of February. SYDNEY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
