MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the_ Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, JANUARY 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Hawea, as follows; — Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 pm.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; money orders at 3 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on March 15th, MONDAY, JANUARY 31. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, at 7.30 a.m. For Kaikonra, per Tui, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Rotorua, at 1.40 p m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Fiji Islands, per Penguin, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, &c., per Te Anan. The s.s.
