A few sales of new wheat are reported at 3s 9d for immediate delivery, but for delivery a month or six weeks hence offers are somewhat less. Flour moves very quietly at present, but ere long prices will recede and business become brisker. For immediate delivery .£ll is still paid for town brands. Oats meet a fair amount of attention at Is 5d to Is 7d, according to quality. Barley of good quality has been placed at 3s 6d, but medium grades are not enquired for. Butter has been in fair demand, and sales of some magnitude are reported at 6d. Cheese unfortunately continues neglected. Hams and bacon are without alteration in value.
