Consols have advanced to 97j. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, is now quoted at 50s, being a decline of 6d on yesterday’s prices. New Zealand five per cents, have suffered a decline of i to 1 per cent, and are now quoted as follows; -10-40 loan, 102 ; 1889 loan, 1071. The Land Leaguers. The trial of the Land Leaguers was concluded to-day. After the judge’s charge to the jury the latter retired, but after eight hours’ deliberation they wore unable to agree and were then discharged. Mr Parnell subsequently delivered an oration to a large assemblage of people in Dublin. The Irish QuestionIn the House of Commons last evening Mr Gladstone moved that consideration of tho Irish Coercion Bill should take precedence of all other business. The Home Rulers thereupon proceeded to obstruct the passage of the motion, and a stormy scene occurred. Mr Biggar, who proved one of tho most violent obstructionists was repeatedly called to order by the Speaker, and, as he continued his disorderly conduct, he was suspended for the remainder of the sitting. The debate has now lasted many hours, hut the Government are determined to pass the motion, and will make the sitting a continuous one, declining to adjourn nntil they gain their point. Rioting Again. Renewed rioting Las occurred in Lancashire owing to the strike, and several serious collisions have taken place between locked out miners and the police.
