CORRESPONDENCE.
THE COMING MATCH. To the Editor of the Globe.
Sis, —As on old cricketer, I watched with much interest the game oa Saturday last, and the fielding oE our fifteen, on which so much -depends in our fight with the Australians. I do not know if the position and management ■of the 'field is an exaot forecast of what will be done on Saturday next, but I oan say that I was particularly pleased with what I saw. •EPor instance Beard, who was first change bowler, was put out in the long field, where ho oould be pretty sure "to throw his arm ■way." And, besides, he is not accustomed to work in tho long field, and as a natural consequence missed two catches in two almost consecutive balls. Then Bedmayne, who is exoellent in the long field, was put short leg. Surely Beard and Kedtnayne might have exchanged places. That so muoh depends on the management and arrangement of the field •must be excuse for this letter. Yours, &o. CEIOEETEB.
