MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:—
THURSDAY, JANUARY 20. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per express train (to connect with s.a. Rotomahana at the Bluff), at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. For Kaikonra, per Jane Donglas, at 3.20 p m.; late fee letters, 330 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train.
For Akarea and Otago, per s.s. Wauaka, at 11.15 a m ; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per s.s. Ringarooma, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van, 230 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JANUARY 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c., per Hawea. SYDNEY J. DICE, Chief Postmaster.
