Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, JANUARY 18. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Botomahana, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m. ; Board’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m train. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per express train (to connect with s.s. Rotomahana at the Bluff), at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. SATURDAY, JANUARY 29.
