CRICKET.
MATCHES TO COMB. As several of the country players are unable to take part in the match on Saturday next, the sides have been somewhat altered, and play will not commence until 1.30 p.m. instead of 10.30 a.m. as arranged. The following will represent the Country—Messrs Blnnden, W. Frith, Fuller, W. E, Leach, W. Leach, J. P. Lucas, E. Million, T. R. Moore, A. M. Ollivier, C. Scott, and J. Taylor. Town —Messrs D. Ashby, Beard, Corfe, Cotterill, Fowke, C. Frith, Hartland, Bedmayne, Secretan, Stevens, and Watson, The match committee have chosen the following to continue practising for the Australian match—Messrs Ashby, Beard, Corfe, Cotterill, C. Frith, W. Frith, Fowke, E. Fowler, Fuller, Hartland, W. E. Leach, Ollivier, Eedmayne, Beeves, Secretan, Stevens, Watson, and Wilding. All the above players are requested to attend practices, which are held every evening. 'I he following will play for Snnnyside v the Addington C.O. on Saturday next at two o’clock, on the Sunnyaide ground, viz.—Dr. Hacon, Messrs Berkeley, Taylor, Oakley, Seager (two), Smith. Moniss, Hopper, Petrie, and Lancaster. Emergencies Clark and Eastham. The annual match between the Timarn and Christchurch Press Cricket Clnbs will be played at Ashburton on Saturday. The following will play for Timarn —Cameron. Campbell, Collins (captain), W. Collins, Ellis, Hall, Hill, Knights, Mills, Norrio, Nicholla, and Osborne. The Christchurch team are Asquith, Board, Brunt, Cant, Coles, Connor, Costley, Edmonds, B. Maurice, W. W. H. Smith, and Whitford. The following will play for the Addington Cricket Club in their matches with the Sunnyside C.C. and the Addington C.C., the former to be played on the Asylum ground, the latter on the Addington ground, on Saturday next at 2 p.m. sharp—Messrs C. Bayman, B. Beattie, B. Jackson, J. Hopper, C. Tayler. B. Turner, G. Strange. W. Lodge, J. Mayne, W- Osier, J. Clarke. Emergency —Hooper. Against the Addington Youths—J. Parker (captain), Q. Hepworth, H. R. Simpson, E. Dewsbury, G. Wells. O. Novice. S. McMnrray, W. B. Clarkson, W. Rowo, Q. Lunnon, G. Dixon. Emergencies—A. Milbird and A. Aulssbrook.
