Jordan, formerly clerk in the Legislative Council, was found dead outside the Kail way Hotel, Lower Hutt, at five o’clock this morning. Jordan was last seen alive last night at the hotel, when he was under the influence of liquor. The landlord had him put to bed, and locked the door. It is supposed that Jordan attempted to get out of the window, when ho fell and was killed, his neck being broken. The deceased recently received £7OO, and had been drinking very heavily of late.
