Cleopatro, brigantine, 88 tona, Clarkson, for Greymouth. C. W. Turner, agent. Tha Alice Muir arrived at Falmouth from Lyttelton, reports—Experienced heavy easterly galea west of Cape Horn for thirty-four days, off and on. Had rudder slightly damaged, and carried away fore lower topsailyari during the passage. . , . . The Biolto, from Lyttelton, arrived in London, reportß that in lat. 43 8., long 179 E , during heavy gale from N.K., a heavy sea broke on board, completely wrecking poop-rail and hencoopa, &o.; thence to Cape Horn experienced Bevere easterly and south-easterly gale, extending over 16 degreaa of latitude, with very low barometera, ranging between 28.3 and 29. The passage from Lyttelton to Cape Horn occupied fifty-one days. THE OTAKI. The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Otaki arrived this morning from London. She left there on September 22nd, and had a fine ■weather passage up to within a few days since, or on December 26th, when a very heavy S_W. gale was met with. The ship was in the neighbourhood of Tasmania at the time, and, judging from the wrecked atate of the saloon, into which the sea broke, the storm muat have been an Tinusually Bevere one. The captain and hia chief offioer and the carpenter barely escaped being washed overboard, and both the master and carpenter are still suffering from the injuries they received. On the 10th of December a passenger named David Griffiths died of consumption, and the second ateward thia morning died from the aame cause soon after the ship anchored in port. SHIPPING TELEGBAMB.
