day. The latter continued their innings, and were all disposed of for 99 runs. The Australian Eleven then went in for their second innings, and were all out for 185 runs. The following is the individual scores:— Blackham, 1.b.w., 6; A. Bannerman, caught and bowled, 11; Murdoch, caught, 39; Spofforth, caught and bowled, 4; McDonnell, caught and bowled, 36 ; Slight, run out, 4 ; Bonner, caught, 13; Boyle, caught and bowled, 4 ; Palmer, 1 b w, 2; Groube, caught, 19; .Alexander, not out, 43. The combined team then wont in for their second innings, and whent he stumps were drawn for the day had lost four wickets for 40 runs.
