Race was won by half-length, Mclvor's riding on the winner being much admired. The Maeton-Bangitikei Legkr, of 100 so vs. Major Morse's Sincerity, by Day Dawn 1 Rowe's Blue Gown 2 Durie's Frivolity 3 Five started. It was a very slow race, and was won easily. Time—4rcin Maiden Plate, of 50 sovs. Monk 1 Camelia 2 Buzzard 3 Nine ran. It was won by a length. Time, 3min. 2bßc. Marton-Rangitikei Handicap, 200 sovs. Opawa, Bst 121 b 1 Redeemer, Bst 71b 2 Otawa, Bst 21b 3 Five started. It was a magnificent race between the first two all down the straight. They were locked together, the race being won on the post by a nose. Time, s;nin. 3sec. Consolation Race. Algebra, 6st 101 b 1 Aurora, 6Bt 101 b 51 Marie Stuart, 7et 21b 3 Seven started. It was won easily by two lengths. The attendance was better on tho second day. but the course was in bad order.
