The Totalisator. In the Legislative Council last night the report of the Select Committee on the Totalisator Bill/which favored the legalisation of the instrument, was brought up. A resolution embodying the report of the Committee was put to the House but was rejected. Passing False Invoices. The firm of merchants, agents for Messrs Clayton and Suttleworth, the well known agricultural implement makers of England, against whom proceedings were taken for passing false invoices, have paid a fine of £IOOO to the Customs.
