[Br Tbleseaph.J [Per e.s. Tararua, at Russell.J The following are additional items of Late Cable News per the above steamer: — LONDON, December 8. The bitterness of feeling in Ireland over the land question is being intensified by_ sectarian animosities. The Orange _ Societies throughout the country are organising movements in opposition to the designs of the Land Leaguers, and the hostility between the two parties is daily Increasing. It is feared that a serious collision will take place, and the authorities are accordingly making extensive preparations for quelling any disturbance. An alarming accident has taken place at Woolwich Arsenal. A rocket accidentally became ignited, and communicating with other explosive materials, caused a terrific explosion, A portion of the Arsenal was greatly damaged, and a number of persons were seriously injured, though no fatal results are yet reported.
