Maila close at the Chief Post Offioe for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) aa under : MONDAY, DECEMBEE 13. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per s.a. Durham (for specially addressed correspondence only), aa follows: — Ordinary letters, at 11 a.m.; booln and newspapers, at 11 a.m.; money orders, at 10 a.m.; registered letters, at 10 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.20 a.m.; guard's van, 12 noon train. TUESDAY, DECEMBEE 14. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Te Anau, 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Penguin, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, the East, Adon, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c., per expross train, to connect with s.s. Te Anau, at Bluff, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 7 a.m.; books and newspapers at 6 a.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th ; money orders at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the express train on Wednesday, 15th December. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, on or about Saturday, 18th December. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post Office, on Saturday, Ist January, 1881. Note. —On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Bank's office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
