Mails close at the Chief Post Office fo? the following plaoeß (subject to the necessary alterations) as under s SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 p.m. Guard's van must not be used for Wanaka's mails. MONDAY, DECEMBER 13. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per s.s. Durham (for specially addressed correspondence only), as follow 3: Ordinary letters, at 11 a.m.; books and newspapers, at 11 a.m.; money orders, at 10 a.m.; registered letters, at 10 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.20 a.m.; guard's van, 12 noon train. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14. For Otago and Australian colonies, per To Anau. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Oalle, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c, per express train, to connect with s.s. Te Anau, at Bluff, as follows: Ordinary letters at 7 a.m.; books and newspapers at 6 a.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th ; money orders at 4 p m. on Tuesday, December 14. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the express train on Wednesday, 15th December. The next mail for the United 'Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post Office, on Saturday, Ist January, 1881. Note.—On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Bank's office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
