MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, Decbmbbb 8. [Before N. Wood, Esq., R.M.] Bbbaoh op the Public-House Obdinancs.—Mary E, Smith, licensee of the Queen’s Hotel, was charged with keeping her house open after the hours allowed by the Act. The evidence showed that a convivial party had been held ot the hotel after eleven o’clock on the night of November 25th. His Worship thought that it had been nothing more than a private gathering and dismissed the case.
