Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following plaoes (subject to the neoessary alterations) as under : TUESDAY, DECEMBEE 7. For Otago and Australian Colonies, except New South Wales and Queensland, per express (to connect with s.s. Arawata at Bluff), at 7 a.m. ; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van attached to the expresß train. THURSDAY, DECEMBEE 9. For Fiji, per Botoma (to conneot with s.s. Southern Cross at Auckland), at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. MONDAY, DECEMBEE 13. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per s.s. Durham (for specially addressed correspondence only). WEDNESDAY, DECEMBEE 5. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c, per express train, to connect with s.b. To Anan, at Bluff, as follows: Ordinary letters at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers at 6 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th; money orders at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Po3t Office van attachedto the express train on Wednesday, 15th December. The next mail for the Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post Office, on Saturday, Ist January, 1881. Note.—On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Bank's office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
