The Customs duties collected at Christchuroh on Friday, 'December 3rd, were as follows :—Spirits, £256 6s Id; tobacco, .£143 17s ; wine, .£2l 11a 6d ; beer, £l2 10s; sugar, .£49 13s lOd ; tea. £lO2 3s ; goods by weight, £67 13s; ad valorem, £67 13s; [.total, £7lB »d. SALE OF FBOPEBTT. On Saturday last Messes H. Matson and Co. held their weekly sale of properties. The attendance was not so numerous as usual, and purchasers were evidently scarce. The first lot submitted was a section, No. 31 in the township .of Prebbleton, containing 2 roods 28 pouches, sold for £37 10a, The next was 2 acres and 18 .perches, together with house thereon, situate in the Papanui road, and in the occupation of Mr Stringer, which was knocked down for £ISOO. other properties at St. Albans and Papanui were passed in. A number of sections in the Crewe Township, the sale of which was postponed till next Saturday, when a number of •Building sites known as Sail's Land will be submitted to public competition.
