Mails close at the Ohief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30. For Otaco and Australian Colonies, per Eotomahana, 1-50 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. : guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.s. Botomahana at Bluff), at 7 a.m. ; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van attached to the express train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee lattera at 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SaTUEDAY, DECEMBEE 4. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0.. per Taiaroa, as follows : —Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers at 6 p.m.; money orders at 2 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London; January 18 th, 1881. Note.—On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Bank’s office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
