Media clone at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alteration!) as under SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27. For Chatham Island, per Island Lily, at 7 a.m.; guard’s van, 8.5 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. Guard’s van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 30. For Otaao and Australian Colonies, per Eotomahana, 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.s. Rotomahana at Bluff), at 7 a.m. ; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van attached to the express train. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4, For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Wanaka, as follows :—Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers at 6 p.m.; money orders at 2 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London, January 18th, 1881, Note.—On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Bank’s office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The office will open again at half-past eix o’clock to receive Savings Bank deposits only, and will remain open till half-past eight o’clock. SIDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
