It is notified in the “Government Gazette” of the 18th instant that, on and after the Ist of December next, the commission on money orders in New Zealand on the United Kingdom will be altered from the present scale to the following;— a. d. For sums not exceeding £2 1 0 For sums exceeding £2, and not exceeding £4 ... ... ... ... 2 O For sums exceeding £l, and not exceeding £6 3 0 For sums exceeding £6, and not exceeding £3 ... ... 55 ..4 0 For sums exceeding £B, and not exceeding £lO ... 5 0 And, with regard to money order and saving bank offices, it is notified that, on and after Saturday, the 4th of De* comber, these offices at Auckland, Christ* church, Dunedin and Wellington will bo closed on Saturdays at 2 p.m., instead of 5 p.m., as at present; also that they will be reopened from 6.30 till 8.30 every Saturday evening for the receipt of savings bank deposits, and the opening of new savings bank accounts only.
