Moils close at th® Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alteration*) as under THUB3DAT, NOYEMBEE 25. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaba, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.30 a.m.; guard’s van, 12 noon train. FEIDAY, NOYEMBEE 26. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Tararaa, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27. For Chatham Island, per Island Lily, at 7 a.m.; guard’s van, 8.5 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. Guard’s van must not be used for this mail. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Wanaba, as follows : —Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m.; boohs and newspapers at 6 p.m.; money orders at 4 p m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London, January 18th, 1881.
Note.— On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Banks Office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
