MAIL NOTICES.

Mails oloae at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary altera-' tioni) as under . TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 6pm.; late fee letters, at 6.20 p.m.; guard's van, 6.50 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24. For Otago and Anstralian Colonies, per Express (to connect with s.s. Ringarooma, at Bluff), at 7 a.m.; late fee letterß may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. For Northern Ports, per Go-Ahead, at 12.25 p.m.; late lee letters at 12.35 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.30 a.m.; guard's van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Tararua, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. j guard's van, 4.5 p.m. train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27. For Chatham Island, per Island Lily, at 7 a.m.; guard's van, 8.5 a.m. train. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c. per Wanaka, as follows:—Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers at 6 p.m.; money orders at 4 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London, January 18th, 1881. Note.—On and after Saturday, 4th December, the Money Order and Savings Banks Office I will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The office will open again at half-past six o'clock to receive Savings Bank deposits only, and will remain open till half-pant eierht o'olook.
