MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m, train. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s ran, 4.5 p.m. train. I WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Express (to connect with s.a. Ringarooma, at Bluff), at 7 a.m.; late fee letters may bo posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27. For Chatham Island, per Island Lily, at 7 a.m.; guard’s van, 8.5 a.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c., via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, December 4th, and will be due in London on January 18th, 1881. Notb. —On and after Saturday, 4th December. the Money Order and Savings Banks Office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The office will open again at h:<lf-past six o’clock to receive Savings Bank deposits only, and will remain open till half-past eight o’clock. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
