MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, For Northern ports, per Penguin, at 7.30 p.m.; guard’s van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15. For Kaikonra, per Jane Douglas. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipu, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m. ; lata fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only) Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Capa of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c., per express train, to connect with s.s. Rotorua, at Bluff, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 7 a.m.; books and newspapers at 6 a.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th November; money orders at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 16th November. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post Office van attached to the express train on Wednesday, 17th November. This mail will bo due in London on January 6th. 1881.
The next mail for the United Kingdom, Ac., via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 4th December, and will be due in London on the 18th January, 1831.
Note.—The Brindisi letter rate of postage for the United Kingdom is 8d per half-ounce. «JfJUNEk J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
