SPECIAL HOP HEPOUT,
Wo have received the following report through Messrs Matson and Co. i—26, St. Mary Axe, E. 0., London, September Ist, 1880. —In accordance with the anticipation expressed in our last, it is now pretty certain that the yield of the crop will amount to about £300,000 “old duty.” Supplies at present to hand are of a most varied quality, barely one-third being really fine, such as we should bo willing to accept as good brewers’ hops. There will, however, be large quantities of such sorts available for shipment during the present month, for which we anticipate a ready sale, in consequence of the low stocks held throughout the entire world, in addition to the inducement offered to lay in stocks at the low prices ruling. We quote for good to fair East and Mid Eenta, £4loa to ,£6; Weald of Kent and Sussex, £4 to £5 ss. B. and I, Babt.
