The “ European Mail” of September 10th has the following shipping items: —The J. W. Parker left New York for this port on August 166 h; the New Zealand Shipping Company’s skip Eangitiki passed Deal on August 28th, and the Lizard on the Slat, for Lyttelton, with sixty-two passengers; the West Biding left Glasgow on August 27th, and Greer ock next Jay, for here. There were on tha berth for Canterbury—the Otaki and Pleiades. The steamship Northumberland was at London loading for Wei ington. The s.s. Durham was loading for Lyttelton, to sail on September 23th. The schooner Elizabeth Curie, which left Lyttelton on Sunday morning last, arrived at Picton yesterday after a smart run of twenty-nine hours. The steamers Oreti and Grafton are advertised to leave here to-morrow, the former for Timaru, Camara, and Dunedin, and the latter for -Camara direct. POET OP SUMNEE. Sailed—November 7.
