Media close at tho Chief Post Office for the following plaooa (subject to the necessary alterations) as nnder : SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &o„ per Taiaroa, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 21st. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8. For Kaikoura, per Tui, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 5 p.m. train. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9. For Otago, per Te Anau, at 11 a.m. For Northern Provinces, per Wanaka, at 11 a.m. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11. For Australian Colonies, to oonneot with Te Anau at Bluff, per express at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office attached to the express train. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close on November 17th. This mail will be duo in London on January 6th, 1881. Notice.—Tuesday, the 9th of November, being a Post Office holiday, the orlice will be closed in all its branches.
