The Albanians continue to offer determined resistance to the surrender of Dulcigno, and are preparing for hostilities on an extensive scale. In view of their stubbornness in resisting the demands in respect to the city, a strong foroe of Nizams has been despatched by the Sultan of Turkey to enforce compliance. The Irish Land League has commissioned Mr Davitt to prooeed to America with the object of organising and obtaining assistance for the cause of the Irish tenants, both as regards the resistance of evictions and the prosecution of the leaders of the Land League. Lord Salisbury has delivered a trenohant speech on political affairs, in which he ridiculed the policy of the Government. The speech has given rise to considerable discussion, and hag been made the subject of comment in all the daily papers. October 28. Several British Badicals of prominence in the ranks of the party have strongly protested against the prosecutions oommenced against Irish agitators in Ireland. A portion of the Frees representing the Badical party has also spoken strongly in antagonism to the proceedings of the Government. Advices received from Oaprera state that General Garibaldi is lying siok and utterly prostrated. It is feared that the famous old General wil not recover, as he is now seventythreo years old, and his constitution is muoh shaken.
