YOUNG MEN’S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

The fifth annual meeting of this Association was hold in the rooms, Cathedral square, last evening, there being a good attendance o£ members. The president, Mr Henry Purdie, occupied the chair. The report of the Board on the work of the past year was read and adopted. Tho treasurer’s statement showed the receipts to have been £338 7s, and expenditure £3OB Os 4d, thus leaving a credit balance of £29 6s Bd, Against that amount, however, there existed liabilities to the extent of £56 19s 9d. The election cf officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows President, Mr J. M. Hey wood ; vice-presidents, Messrs W. H. Hargreaves, W. H. Twentjman, Taylor, Gould, Purdie, Icglis, Patten, and Ebv. O. Dallaston ; hon. treasurer, Mr Wm. Jameson ; hon. secretary, Mr Ladbrooke ; Board of Management, Messrs Twentyman, Rasa, Callender, Osborne, Prndhoe, Slinn, Porter, Lewis. The meeting was then closed.
