Mails close at tho Chief Poet Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alteration*) as under: — FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5. For Otago, per Albion, at 1,50 p.m.; late foe letters, at 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0.. per Taiaroa, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at G p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be duo in London on December 21et. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Te Anan. Tho next mail for tho United Kingdom, &e., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close on November 17th. This mail will bo due in London on January 6th, 1831.
