Mails close ai the Chief Post Office for the following places (subjoot to the necessary alterations) a* under: — WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBEB 3. For Otago and Australian co.onies, per express (to connect with a.a. Tararna at B tiff), at 7a m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.29 p.m.; late fea letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4.5 p.m train. THURSDAY, NOVEMBEB 4. For Otago, per Hawo 1, at 12.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 12.85 p.m. ; guard'B van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Botorna, at 320 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard's van, 4.5 p.m. train. SaTUBDAY, NOVEMBEB 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c, per Taiaroa, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; lato fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 21st. ' The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c, via Briudiai (for specially addressed correspondence only), wi;l close on November 17th.
