Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) H 8 tinder : TUEBDAY, NOVEMBER 2. For Otago and Australian Colonics, per Tararua, at 1.50 p ax. ; Kte fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 320 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4.5 p.m train. WEDNKSDAY, NOVEMBER 3. For Otago and Australia coionies, ver expresß (to connect with B.s. Tararnaat Bluff), at 7 a m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office van attached to the express train. SATURDAY, NOVKMBKR 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via Son Francisco), Sandwich Islandß, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c. rer Taiaroa as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. j guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 21st. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), wi'l cloße on November 17th. This mail will be due in London on January 6th, 1881.
