EXHIBITION OF PICTURES.
Te the Editor of the Globe.
SIB, —" Nemo" writes to me this day from Lyttelton as follows :—" Will Mr Charles Clark put the full postage on his envelopes the next time he forwards circulars to bis friends ? The writer of thiß had to pay twopence, therefore ho can't afford to seo the pictures." This refers to a circular letter sent by the proprietor of the above-named exhibition, and signed "Charles Clarke." Such circulars have now cost me one shilling (including " Nemo's" unpaid postage sixpence). Unfortunately the letter bears a signature nearly akin to mine, bnt with the additional letter " e." I feel much annoyed that any of the public should think I had played such a trick upon them. A •'trick" I call it—but, as I have applied for and obtained a refund of the amount I have been charged, I can but recommend my friends to do likewise.
Yours, &0., CHARLES CLARK, Auctioneer, &c, Hereford street.
