MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, OCTuBEB 30. For Cape Town (for specially addressed correspondenco only), per Sunbeam, at 11.15 am. ; late fee letters, at 11.30 a m. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. Guard’s van must not be need for this mail. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararua. SATURDAY. NOVEMBER 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0.. rer Taiaroa, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; hooks and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be dne in London on Decernber 21st. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), wi>l close on November 17th.
