MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28.
For Otago, per Wanaka, at 12.25 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 12.35 p.m. ; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern ports and Australian colonies, per Ringarooma, at 320 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. For Kaikonra, per Tni, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 4.35 p.m. ; guard’s van, 6.25 p m. train. SATURDAY, OCTuBER"3O. For Capa Town (for specially addressed correspondence only), per Sunbeam, at 11.15 am. ; late fee letters, at 11.30 a m. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c.. per Taiaroa, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on December 21st. _ The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), wiil close on November 17th.
